Later that evening, I checked out the Machinima viewing party and got to see some of the best Machinima across many different games, capped off with Oxhorn’s ROFLMAO video — easily one of my personal favorites due to having grown up on the Muppets.

After that, we got to talk at length with people about whether they felt WoW was an “MMO on training wheels” and just what defines Casual and Hardcore to the overall industry leaders. True, Razah’s birthday, coinciding with the Nightfall release in October 2006, isn’t for a few months, but I’m glad we got it a present. The world of Berk is celebrating October with a Harvest Hunt Contest. Outside of World of Warcraft, I’m hoping to knock out Operation: Jackhammer in Mass Effect 3. To prep for the holidays, I’m plugging in the Christmas lights that have been hanging around the border of my window since last year. If I get back in early enough on Sunday, I may try to fit in Operation Jackhammer on ME3 MP, or do a round of August Celestial/Shadopan Dailies. They’re only going back up again! But when you actually attempted to fold up the toy, it was nearly impossible to fit all the miniature figures in the decapitated Sith Lord, not to mention that it would flop back open with the slightest bump, spilling the platoon of troopers out onto the ground.

Me and my wife will probably sit out front with our laptops while handing goodies to the kids. On day two, guests will be treated to interviews with Laura Dern and Shaka King, along with a closet tour with Glenn Close. And, for obvious reasons, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving over here. I’m writing as much Nanowrimo now so I don’t feel guilty at Thanksgiving spending all this time not writing. With only a couple of short weeks to cram in as much trick-or-treating, pumpkin picking, haunted hayrides, spooky mansion tours, and headless boss fights as possible, we’re here to help point you in the direction of all of the fun. The level grind is pretty light by most MMO standards, though, and it’s quite possible to hit the cap in a couple weeks of very casual questing.
