Starting Thursday, July 24, fans descending upon San Diego Comic-Con will be among the first in the world to get a look into the Skylanders universe, including new toys, and hands-on Skylanders Trap Team gameplay, with more news to come. Launching in October, Skylanders Trap Team brings a ground-breaking innovation to the Skylanders franchise by reversing the magic of its signature Toys-To-Life play pattern to let kids bring life-to-toys for the first time. Skylanders Panel (Room 7AB): “Skylanders: The Creative Process of Bringing Toys to Life” panel on Thursday, July 24th from 6-7 p.m., moderated by Geoff Keighley, will offer insights into one of the world’s most beloved Toys-to-Life video game franchises, as well as a major announcement about new Skylanders characters. The new raid content expands the origin stories for many different characters. Origin Crisis allows players to experience the alternate realities and what-ifs that come with tweaking the origin stories of iconic heroes and villains. Villains and heroes both will have access to two distinct origin operations targeting two instances of alternate realities in the Superman and Batman stories. What if Superman was corrupted and working alongside Luthor? He explains that future Batman and future Luthor both jumped into the nexus of reality, occupying two different dimensions and meeting other versions of themselves. In groups of four, players will enter the nexus reality, and either Batman or Luthor (depending on your alignment) will inform you that he’s detected a paradox, i.e., something is going on with so-and-so’s origin. That said, video game cosplay what games you play and what content you create — and the speed at which you do them — is going vary greatly depending on the components inside the laptop.
